BLEND_POD

Blend Architects was commissioned to design a bespoke garden office for a busy family in collaboration with DTP Creative Carpentry. We worked closely with the clients on all aspects of the design, from the smallest details of the timber cladding arrangement right through to the position of lighting and electrical sockets.

The frame is constructed using a series of floor, wall and roof SIP panels, all of which sit on a grid of heavy-duty galvanised steel ground screws. The external open rain-screen cladding is a highly sustainable and thermally modified timber, specially coated and protected to ensure that the cladding weathers to a consistent silver hue.
